Artist statement;
All of my work is painted from life. I am primarily motivated by the close observation of a cool light as it describes form. The simple arrangement of shape, tone, and design provides the formal elements where light can find expression. I avoid narrative, rather, I search for a sense of presence. When I am successful beauty arises unbidden.
I am laid victim to the passion of seeing and the more I look the more I see.
